This can help create mobility in fascial tissue, release trigger points, mobilize fluid, decrease pain, increase blood flow to sedentary tissue, support the lymphatic system, eases restrictions in the thoracic cage, reducing joint discomfort, etc. This therapy has shows to also affect the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and stress management.

Conditions that can benefit from cupping therapy include, arthritis, fascial restrictions, general muscle pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, asthma and more.

The Cupping Therapy cups that are used is Silicone (baguanfa), which are soft, pliable, transparent and easy to clean. Since these cups are more flexible, they are more adaptable to various elements of the body (considering hair or irregular bony surfaces). Allowing it to be more accessible to all clients' overall body regions and excel providing treatment to areas that are typically difficult to treat.

The techniques used in treatment is dry (cups placed on the body with no oil), flash (quick, continuous application and rapid release of cups on the body), and Massage/Gliding (moving cups over the body: either involving gliding cups on the skin with oil for more deep therapeutic effects, moving cups to create a fascial release, and dynamic gliding applied to body while using passive and active range of motion to the tissues and joints).

Facial cupping is also provided to aid in sinus congestion, TMJ, fascial and cervical generated headaches.

Anna always had a passion on helping people and knew that she wanted to do that professionally from young age. Elia is a registered Physiotherapist in Ontario, and a licensed PT in multiple states in the USA. In 2017, he received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in Maine. Elia practiced for years before coming to Canada in 2022. Allison completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph in 2002. After taking a year off of school she went back to Guelph to complete her Masters in Applied Human Nutrition and has been working as a registered dietitian since 2005.

Allison started her career as a dietitian working in primary care where she counseled patients in their family doctor’s office with a focus on diabetes and weight management. Over the course of her career Allison has gained expert knowledge working in nephrology, medicine and critical care.

Stephanie has always had a passion for the human body and its amazing capabilities. As a child she was invested in gymnastics and challenging her body to learn and develop new skills. She found a love in the elegance of movement and transitioned herself at a young age into studying the art of ballet. She spent 15 years perfecting her skills in Cecchetti ballet and further developing her love for human anatomy. Having to leave ballet at that time, she went on to captain the University of Guelph cheerleading team throughout her undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition.

At the conclusion of her degree at the University of Guelph, Stephanie worked in the field of Clinical Nutrition and began racing in Ironman Triathlons completing her first at the age of 23. This experience further intensified her desire to learn more about human anatomy and biomechanics. She returnedto school to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a specialized focus inneurophysiology at York University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University.

Stephanie has competed in seven Ironman triathlons, numerous half Ironman triathlons, marathons, half marathons and short course triathlons. She is a Boston Marathon qualified runner and has recently ventured into ultra distance running with a goal of joining the Canadian 100k Trail Team.

She was first introduced to Pedorthics as a patient due to her many lower limb injuries playing competitive hockey, lacrosse and golf.
